Fading Light - a poem about sad endings and saying goodbye

I am no longer what you want
Certainly not what you need
You are just on standby
Waiting for one of us to leave

The love light has died within you
Snuffed out and gone away
All that's in your heart's resentment
That grows a little every day

Your eyes don't hold onto love
And you no longer see me
You see dreams wasted
What now, will never be

We were meant to be together
But our forever is rather faded
We are not even present
As even that seems jaded

Who will be the first to admit it
To look the other in the eye
Squeeze their hand for the last time
And whisper a gentle goodbye

Ok I have had enough
I think i am done
I don't care anymore
This isn't fun
Your manners are atrocious
You are quite rude
We don't say nice things
We only feud
So let's call it a day
Let's just walk
Let's not stay in contact
There's no need to talk
Au revoir Monsieur
Aufveidersen
Ciao, hasta luego
Let's not meet again

Pushing and Shoving

I can't take the silence
It's ripping me apart
I can feel it screaming
Through the pieces of my heart

I can't take the name calling
The hatred and the spite
The way you spit the words out
As we argue in to the night

My love for you is breaking
And I don't know what to do
So I am holding up my hand
And asking if maybe you do?

Is there an end to all this fighting
On which to hang a hope
Or has the love light distinguished
Are we at the end of our rope?

I look at you and ask you
To look me in the eye
And tell me why you're not happy
And why I always cry

We never have been perfect
But we always had or love
But now in the darkness what have we
When push comes to shove?

When my days are black and the nights are cold
I will always have you to hold
Hold in my heart and in my head
You fill my thoughts with love instead
You are my perfection my saving grace
I cannot help but smile when I see your face
You are my delight my one true thing
My darling child you make my heart sing
The joy I feel starts deep inside
And rolls within like a turning tide
You make it count you make it worthwhile
You make my sorrow into a smile
I love you more with every day
And am excited to watch you grow and play
